Youth & Families

For us at Heritage, its not about programs that separate children by age (although there are times when this is appropriate).  It’s about welcoming them into church life and encouraging children to learn about and develop a relationship with God while they explore the gifts that God has given them.  It is common to see a teen behind the sound board or playing an instrument in the worship band; a middle school student serving food at our community meal ministry; or a 4th grader along side a parent welcoming you as a junior usher on Sunday morning. God has given everyone gifts no matter the age.  At Heritage, we encourage kids to explore and learn as we nurture their spiritual growth.

Nursery: Children are invited to attend our nursery during the 10 am service. During that time they will be playing, hearing Bible stories and working on art activities. If you are questions regarding Nursery please reach out to Ted Griffin our youth director at heritagepcusayg@gmail.com

Sunday School: We offer classes for all ages. Sunday school will begin again on September 10, 2023.

Kindergarten and elementary school aged children (K-8) are invited to participate in our Sunday school class from 11:15-11:45 am. Pam Dierker and Ted Griffin will be teaching this class.

High school students are invited to participate in our class taught by Ruth Butler on Sundays from 11:15-11:45 am. During this class they will learn about what it means to be a Christian, and apply it to their lives.

Adults Sunday school will after worship in the lounge and is taught by Dan Vitale.

Community Playground: Our playground is open to the public. We welcome everyone to enjoy our beautiful playground and grounds.

412 Youth: All students in middle and high school are welcome to join us. There is a lot of laughter, hang-time, snacks (of course!), and great conversation as kids gather for either a lesson or mission work; teaching them how to navigate the hardships of high school with Scripture and apply it to their everyday lives. Whether you are just beginning to learn about our Creator, looking for a place to connect with other Christians teens, wanting to grow in your faith, or looking for places to live out your faith; Youth Group is a great place to be. Come check us out.
